It's Still Really Hot

I hate hot weather. Man, oh man. It's hard enough to drag myself into school some mornings, but when it is supposed to be mid-80s outside, meaning mid-90s in my classroom, it is torture. How on Earth am I supposed to teach anything to students when I can't focus or maintain a sane thought? Ugh.

Speaking of hot weather, when shopping for Halloween costumes for the kids, I never anticipate temperatures in the mid-80s. I always look for costumes that can be layered underneath to keep the kids warm. Needless to say, Grace was quite glittery when the glitter stuck to her sweaty arms, and Robby was a sweaty, sticky mess with his pirate hat, long pants, and long sleeves. But they were cute. Damp, red-faced, and panting, but cute.

I love cool weather. Bring it on.
